“King Buddha” Director Satya Reddy Issues Warning to Garikapati

At a protest held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi demanding that Buddha Jayanti be declared a complete national holiday, “King Buddha” Hollywood film director Satya Reddy reacted strongly. He issued a stern warning to preacher Garikapati over his past remarks that allegedly portrayed Gautama Buddha in a negative light.

“From now on, any false propaganda about Gautama Buddha will not be tolerated. Any attempt to insult Buddha will be strongly condemned,” Satya Reddy stated.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized, “Gautama Buddha was not an ordinary person—he was ‘Shakya Simha.’ His life is not a collection of simple tales, but a great heroic saga and a message of peace. It is our responsibility to pass on his true history, philosophy, and the path he showed to future generations.”

He also highlighted a significant episode from Buddha’s life: “After attaining enlightenment, when Buddha entered Kapilavastu, his wife Yashodhara welcomed him by illuminating the entire city with lamps. That grand occasion later came to be known as ‘Buddha Deepavali,’” he explained.

Satya Reddy further noted that nearly 25 countries across the world following Buddha’s teachings are leading in peace, development, and equality. “Looking at their progress, India too should once again move towards Buddhism—that is the true path to peace and development,” he added.

Several supporters who participated in the protest also strongly demanded that Buddha Jayanti be declared a national holiday. Satya Reddy stated that the movement would be intensified across the country to raise public awareness.
